We are preparing to set of to Finnmark, hoping for some local input on our initial ideas. First destination is Kirkenes where we will attend this conference, which is focusing on the urban future of the Finnmark region. After the conference we will continue westwards visiting the following cities and settlements:
Monday 5th: Kirkenes conference
Tuesday 6th: Kirkenes to Vardø
Wednesday 7th: Vardø
Thursday 8th: Båtsfjord
Friday 9th: Berlevåg
Saturday 10th: Mehamn
Sunday 11th: Honningsvåg
In the eastern part of Finnmark we will use the main sea route, served by the Coastal Steamer, to visit the coastal settlements. From Honningsvåg we will make a detour by bus inwards the Porsangerfjord, before we continue further west along the coast.
Monday 12th: Lakselv
Tuesday 13th: Havøysund
Thursday 15th: Øksfjord
Friday 16th: Hasvik and return to Oslo
We consider this re-visits, as all of the places where also part of the initial research Outpost. Our aim for the trip is to discuss our ideas with local professionals and enthusiasts.
Vi reiser nordover der vår første destinasjon blir Kirkenes og konferansen "Frodig Fokus på Finnmark". Konferansen har som mål å utvide perspektivene i Nordområde-debatten. Fra Kirkenes reiser vi vestover:

De østlige bosetningene i Finnmark besøkes via sjøveien med Hurtigruten, før vi tar buss innover Porsangerfjorden og videre vestover langs kysten.

Fredag 16.: Hasvik og retur til Oslo
